LOW-COST FOUR STAGE AUTO-TRANSFORMER
VOLTAGE REGULATING LINE CONDITIONERS

SLc Series Provides Stable Power Even When The AC Mains
Or Generator Voltage Is Extremely Low Or High

Antigo, WI, USA ~ TSi Power Corporation announces its SLc Series of line conditioners to satisfy the demand for low-cost AC line protection for computer POS terminals, control systems, etc. where AC mains voltages are unstable. This could be in developing countries, or where back-up motor generators may be in use.

Peter Nystrom, President of TSi Power, says, "The SLc Series is ideal for situations where a low-cost solution is vital, and connected equipment must be protected from failure or frequent re-booting due to unstable AC mains. The SLc regulated output can also be used between a UPS and the AC mains to provide even greater protection for the connected equipment, while saving the UPS’ internal batteries for true black-outs."

Four Stages Of Line Regulation Provide Increased System Reliability

The SLc Series incorporates a four-winding auto-transformer, which provides four levels of line regulation: two boost-stage, one normal, and one buck-stage. Even when the input voltage varies between 75 to 150 Volts, the output is regulated to within 105 and 130 Volts (for 230V models, even when the input voltage varies between 150 to 280V, the output is regulated to within 200 and 250V), well within the operating range of most equipment.

One example of a perfect application for SLc units are to protect and regulate the voltage to small refrigerators that house critical medical or research supplies in remote field clinics where AC mains voltages are known to be unstable.
