True Isolation Plus Common-Mode Noise Elimination

The ILc-Med Series contributes to enhanced systems operation, greater reliability, improved repeatability, fewer re-boots or systems lock-ups, and extended life. In addition, a reduction in hospital medical equipment service costs can be expected.

The integral isolation transformer provides complete isolation between the primary and secondary, and permits bonding the output neutral to ground, which completely eliminates all disturbances between neutral & ground, regardless of source. The series inductance of the isolation transformer in combination with a capacitive element & an MOV, provide noise filtering, as well as coordinated multi-stage surge protection.

In addition, the ILc-Med has an extremely low input leakage current rating (typically 50 µA), which exceeds both domestic US (UL 2601), Canadian (cUL 2601), and international (IEC 601) medical standards for a leakage current limit of 300 µA maximum for non-patient connected medical equipment and instruments.
